DCCEEW partners with KINSHIP Digital for Social Media Management Support
Press release - 25th February, Canberra, Australia
The Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) has selected KINSHIP Digital to support the implementation and management of a social media management platform.
The partnership reflects the department’s focus on strengthening governance, improving oversight, and ensuring continuity across a large and complex social media environment.
DCCEEW manages multiple social media accounts across Facebook, LinkedIn, X, and Instagram. These channels are a key mechanism for communicating programs, policies, and time-sensitive information to audiences across Australia. Managing this scale of activity requires a partner who understands the complex operating environment and the deployment of a bespoke services model and market leading technology.
Under the engagement, KINSHIP Digital will support DCCEEW with a secure, cloud-based social media management platform. The platform enables coordinated publishing, moderation, reporting, and social media listening across multiple channels, supported by centralised user access and licence administration.
KINSHIP Digital will work with DCCEEW to provide capability uplift through embedded training, configuration and support with a focus on uplifting the capacity and capability within the department. This approach goes beyond technology implementation alone, ensuring that the department builds the internal expertise, governance controls, and operational resilience required to manage a large-scale social media ecosystem effectively into the future.
Alex Harper, Managing Director at KINSHIP Digital, said the engagement reflects DCCEEW’s commitment to strengthening digital capability and operational resilience.
“DCCEEW manages a broad and diverse social media ecosystem across a wide range of critical issues and policy priorities. Our role is to support the department with a secure, well-governed platform and consistent channel management practices, enabling them to communicate clearly and consistently with the public. We look forward to working closely with DCCEEW teams to support their communication objectives.”
This engagement builds on KINSHIP Digital’s experience delivering digital platforms and advisory services to Australian Government agencies. KINSHIP has supported many organisations including the Australian Taxation Office, the Department of Industry, Science and Resources, and the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations.
